In the Fall of 2002 Patrick had an impromptu dance battle against another student during his university's home coming. Little did he know that one act would be the  grounds for creating an award-winning nonprofit motivational company called Lead, Encourage and Dance (LEAD).

From 2002-2006 Patrick and his crew (The Sun City Floor Rockers) used dance, music, DJs and rap to bring energetic school assemblies to the West Texas and Central Texas areas.  Patrick was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the El Paso Small Business
Administration in 2006.

That same year he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Texas El Paso. After four years of  overseeing LEAD, he allowed his organization to sun set as the dawn of his career as a full-time youth speaker approached.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from UT in El Paso (Go Miners!) and was a top-ten graduate from Texas Bible Institute. More importantly, though, Patrick was the first Perez in his family to graduate from college.

When not traveling he loves riding his bike, kayaking, exploring foodie spots with his wife Rachel and enjoying NPR while stuck in Austin, TX traffic.
